Committee Bylaws

A DSCC assists in coordinating curricular proposals generated by the degree programs as specified in the charter of that DSCC.

Every degree program shall be associated with one, and only one, DSCC. These associations will be stated in the charter of each DSCC, and may be altered only with the approval of the Provost and the Faculty Senate.

Each DSCC program leader shall serve a one (1)-year term, and be elected from, and by, its members. Each DSCC program leader shall serve as a voting member of the Campus Curricula Committee (CCC).

The Provost may propose, with appropriate academic rationale and suggested structure, changes to the DSCC(s). The Provost forwards the proposals with his/her recommendations, and the suggested constituencies from which the committee members will be drawn by the following rules, to the Faculty Senate for approval.

Every DSCC shall be identified by a discipline name.
