Committee Bylaws
This committee is concerned with the academic freedom of faculty and promoting academic excellence. It recommends and reviews policies concerning requirements for admission, graduation, and academic standards.
Each department may nominate one faculty member for service on the Academic Freedom and Standards Committee. The Faculty Senate will select from these nominees eight (8) faculty members to serve on the committee. Faculty members serve a two-year (2-year) term with approximately one half elected each year.
Submit Referrals
Faculty may submit requests to the Committee to address topics that arise and fall under their purview. You may submit any such requests, or any relevant information, to the committee using the link below.
